Coin Lore
Coin Lore
Coin Lore is an interactive world-coin design and symbolism encyclopedia for numismatic hobbyists, travelers, educators, and design students who want to understand what the pictures, mottos, and heraldic charges on world coins actually mean. Unlike grading or valuation tools, this app is purely an illustrated cultural and historical reference: every coin is rendered as original stylized line-art/engraved-look artwork (not photographic currency reproductions), avoiding counterfeiting or IP concerns while giving the app a distinct hand-engraved visual identity. Users tap hotspots on a coin's obverse/reverse to reveal layered symbolism cards, compare two coins side-by-side, scrub through a country's design timeline across eras, sweep simulated raking light across engraved relief using device tilt, play a symbol-matching game, take a Game Center trivia quiz, keep a personal 'coins to spot' wish list for travel, and browse an illustrated heraldic glossary.
